The first step ...

One of the differences between human beings and animals is the ability to plan and then change one's lifestyle in order to fulfill those plans. This is not the same as bears hibernating or squirrels hiding nuts (and forgetting where) in preparation for winter. It is an intentional progression to an envisioned place or time of life.

The problem is that with the power to plan comes the power to procrastinate or put off what is to be done today until some later date.

Don't wait for the giant step. Once there is a plan or desire in place, every right step we take brings us that much closer to the goal. Remember the wise man says the longest journey begins with the first step.

So whether it's coming to Christ, changing eating habits, or pursuing some inward hearts desire, it all begins with thst first small step. Now. Right at the moment you think of it.

May I encourage you to prepare for your fast today. Eat the right things starting today...not after the holidays. Decrease the caffeine and sugar starting with the very next meal and January's real time will be easier. Here is a word from Daniel Fast Coach, Susan Gregory.
